Tribler

Tribler is a BitTorrent client which, like any other, lets you download files from the internet in torrent format albeit with a small difference: Tribler’s aim is none other than to also generate a social network with users of the program.

Keep a list of user friends which you can share files with, or follow their updates. The users who share the most files have their space on the program’s interface. Complete your profile and start using Tribler.

Tribler works in the following way: the torrents which its search engine locates are those shared by other users of the program. The more users it finds, the more torrents are available.

Tribler also includes a small filter which can be used to eliminate adult content.
